Searching for that person of peace…
Over the weekend my wife and I went out to find people to pray for. We approached 4 people and asked them if they had any pain in their bodies. None of them said that they did, and 2 of them looked like they wanted to throttle us for asking. The last one of them at least asked why we wanted to know so I told him that we prayed for people and God healed them. He pointed us in the direction of where some people might be but wasn’t interested in talking any more.
Then the next day I was going to the supermarket and noticed a lady on crutches. I approached her and offered to pray for her but, again, got the ‘I’m going to throttle you’ look. So our weekend on the streets consisted of 5 people approached, 5 rejections, no prayers and no opportunity to share the gospel. It doesn’t always go smoothly when we go out on the streets, but at least I know we were obedient, and we are one step closer to finding that person of peace
